Tender company profile

Built around what the evaluators score.

A tender company profile proves to evaluators that you can do the job, set out the way the bid documents ask. We write and design it.

Tender-ready

What makes a profile ready for a tender?

It answers the evaluation criteria in the order the tender sets them, with evidence for each. A general profile describes your business; a tender profile proves you meet one specification.

For public-sector work in South Africa, evaluators usually look for:

  • your Central Supplier Database (CSD) number and company registration
  • your B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit, where the tender awards points for it
  • a CIDB grading, for construction work
  • similar completed projects with contactable references
  • key personnel, their CVs and an organogram

How it works

How we prepare a tender profile

Tell us the closing date first. Your quote states what can be ready before it.

  1. Read the tender

The specification, scoring criteria and returnables list, read through with you.

  2. Map the evidence

Each criterion matched to proof you hold, with gaps flagged early.

  3. Write and design

Following the tender’s own order, so each answer sits where evaluators expect it.

  4. Check and supply

Checked against the returnables, then supplied as a portal-ready PDF and print files.

Questions

Questions about tender profiles

Ask a question

Can one profile work for every tender?

A core profile can, with a tailored version for each bid. The main pages stay fixed while the project list, the team and the order of sections change to suit each tender’s criteria. An editable template lets your team make those changes between bids.

What is a returnable document?

It’s a document the tender requires with your bid, such as a tax compliance status, a CSD report or a signed declaration. A missing or expired returnable can disqualify a bid before anyone reads the profile, so we list them at the start and check them at the end.

Do you supply the B-BBEE certificate or tax clearance?

No; only the official bodies can issue them. B-BBEE certificates come from accredited verification agencies, qualifying small firms may use a sworn affidavit instead, and tax compliance comes from SARS. We make sure your profile quotes them correctly and presents them clearly, and we remind you to check expiry dates.

Where are South African government tenders published?

On the government’s eTender Publication Portal, and many municipalities and state-owned companies also advertise on their own websites. To do business with government you need to be registered on the Central Supplier Database, so register before the tender you want appears.

What goes into the cost of a tender company profile?

How much of the profile already exists and how closely it must follow the tender. Adapting a strong profile to one bid is faster than starting from nothing, while extra documents, such as CVs and project sheets, add to the work. Each item appears separately in the quote.

Bidding every month?

Regular bidders save time with a strong base profile and a matching set of documents. Pair it with letterheads and business cards and email signatures, so every page you submit carries the same look, even on deadline day.
