Ask a question

What is the difference between a brand and a brand identity?

Your brand is what people think and feel about your organisation. Your identity is the visible part you control: the logo, colours, type and imagery. Identity work can’t create a reputation alone, but it makes every good experience easier to connect back to you.

Can you update our identity without starting again?

Yes. A refresh keeps what people already recognise, such as a shape or a colour, and fixes what lets it down: type that blurs at small sizes, weak contrast, too many colours or no version for dark backgrounds. You keep the recognition you’ve already earned.

How should we roll out a new identity?

Change the quick, cheap things first: the website, social profiles and email signatures, all on one switch-over date. Replace printed items as old stock runs out, and finish with signs and vehicles, which cost the most. Customers then never see two logos side by side for long.

What sets the price of brand identity design?

Scope sets the price. A start-up needing a logo, palette and short guide takes less work than a group bringing several companies under one look. Sub-brands and deeper guidelines add to it, and your quote itemises each part so the work can be phased.

Only need a logo for now?

That’s a sensible place to start. Our logo design service gives you the mark in every format you’ll need. When you’re ready, the colours and type you chose can grow into a full identity without starting again.

Start your brand identity design

Tell us about your organisation, who it serves and what isn’t working about how it looks today. You’ll get a written quote in your own currency before any design starts. Send your current logo too, if there is one, as the starting point for your brand identity design.
