Privacy policy

Plain English, no small print.

How RedFox Branding handles the details you send us through this website. The short version: we use them only to reply to you and to quote.

Summary

The short version

  • The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies at present.
  • The enquiry form collects only what we need to reply and to quote.
  • We never sell your details, share them for advertising or add you to a mailing list.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time.

This policy covers redfoxbranding.com, the website of RedFox Branding, a branding and design agency with offices in the United Kingdom, South Africa and the USA. Where it says “we” or “us”, it means RedFox Branding, which is responsible for the personal information described here.

For anything to do with your personal information, email hello@redfoxbranding.com.

What we collect

What the enquiry form collects, and why

The site collects personal information in one place: the enquiry form, on the contact page and behind every “Start a project” button. This is what it records.

WhatWhy we need it
Your name and email addressTo reply to you
Your organisation and current website, if you give themTo understand who you are and what you have now
Your countryTo quote in the right currency and pass the enquiry to the right office
The service you choose and your timelineTo prepare an accurate quote
Your messageTo understand the project
The page you sent the form from, and any case study it mentionsTo see which part of the site prompted the enquiry
A scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, kept for an hourTo limit repeated sending and keep automated spam out

Each enquiry is stored in the website’s database and emailed to hello@redfoxbranding.com. Please do not send sensitive information, such as health details or identity numbers, through the form.

Cookies

Cookies and tracking

The site sets no tracking or analytics cookies at present, and no advertising networks or social media trackers run on it. That is why you see no cookie banner: under the UK’s PECR rules, consent is needed only for cookies that are not strictly necessary.

The only cookies the site can set are the ones that keep its own administrators signed in. If we ever add analytics or anything else that sets cookies on your device, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before it starts.

If the form has to come back to you with an error, what you typed may be held on the server for up to ten minutes, so you do not have to type it again. It is then discarded.

How we use it

How we use your details

Only for the reasons below. Nothing you send is used for marketing.

  • To replyAnswering your enquiry by email, or by a call you have asked for.
  • To quoteWorking out the scope and the price of the project you described.
  • To work togetherIf you go ahead, running the project and keeping the records the law requires, such as invoices.
  • To keep the site safeBlocking automated spam and protecting the site from misuse.

Where it goes

Where your details go and how long we keep them

Our legal basis

Under UK GDPR, replying to and quoting for your enquiry are steps you have asked us to take before any contract, and keeping the site free of spam is in our legitimate interests. South Africa’s POPIA allows the same processing where it is needed to act on your request or for our legitimate interests.

Who else handles it

The website and its database are hosted by our web host, which stores the information on our behalf and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run the site securely. Enquiry emails pass through our email provider. We share your details with no one else unless the law requires it.

Across borders

We work across the UK, South Africa and the USA, so your details may be stored or read in a country other than your own. We protect them in the same way wherever they are.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to reply and to quote. If you become a client, we keep what the project and the law require, such as invoices. Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted once they are no longer needed, or sooner if you ask.

Your rights

Your rights over your details

Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following. Email hello@redfoxbranding.com, and we may ask you to confirm who you are before we act. We reply within the time the law allows, which is one month under UK GDPR.

  • See what we holdAsk for a copy of the personal information we have about you.
  • Correct itTell us if anything is wrong or out of date and we will fix it.
  • Delete itAsk us to erase your details, unless the law requires us to keep them.
  • Object or restrictAsk us to stop using your details, or to limit how we use them.
  • US state privacy rightsResidents of states with privacy laws, such as California, can ask what we hold and have it corrected or deleted. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

Complaints and changes

Complaints, children and changes to this policy

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, tell us first at hello@redfoxbranding.com and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the regulator. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office, and in South Africa, the Information Regulator. In the US, your state attorney general’s office deals with privacy complaints.

Children

This site is for organisations and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If anything here changes, for example because we add analytics, we will update this page first. This version was last updated on 31 October 2026.
