Tender documents

Every answer where the evaluator looks for it.

Tender documents win or lose on how closely they follow the buyer’s own structure. We write, design and assemble yours, from method statements to pricing schedules.

What they are

What counts as a tender document?

Everything the buyer asks you to return with a bid: the completed forms, the written answers to the quality questions, the pricing schedule, and the certificates and declarations that prove you are eligible. A tender pack can run to a dozen files, each with its own rules on length, format and naming.

We write the answers from your experience, design the set in your brand and check it against the returnables list before you submit. The profile at the front of a bid has its own page, tender company profiles; the one we wrote for Mrala Enterprise shows the standard.

The set

Which documents go into a bid?

Buyers name them differently in each country. These appear in most tenders, public and private.

How it runs

How does tender writing work with us?

Send the invitation to tender the day it lands. The closing date decides everything else.

  1. Read the pack

The specification, the scoring guide and the returnables list, then we agree who writes what.

  2. Gather the evidence

Projects, figures, CVs and certificates, collected against a checklist, with gaps flagged early.

  3. Write the answers

Each one answers the question asked, in the buyer’s order, in their words, within their limits.

  4. Design and check

Laid out in your brand, read against the criteria once more and supplied the way the portal asks.

Finding tenders

Where are tenders published?

In the UK, public contracts above the thresholds appear on Find a Tender, and lower-value ones on Contracts Finder. South African government tenders are published on the eTender Publication Portal, and bidders register on the Central Supplier Database first. US federal opportunities are listed on SAM.gov; our capability statement page covers those.

Private-sector tenders arrive by invitation. The documents are much the same; the deadline is usually shorter.

Questions

Questions about tender documents

Question not here? Send it to us and we will answer it directly.

Ask a question

How do we start a tender with you?

Email hello@redfoxbranding.com or send the tender pack through the project form, with the closing date in the first line. We read the pack and reply with a fixed quote that lists each document we will write or design. If the deadline is too tight to do the job properly, we say so straight away rather than take it on.

Do you offer bid writing services as well as design?

Yes. Our tender writing covers the quality responses, method statements, case studies and pricing narrative, written from interviews with your team and the records you hold. Design then puts the set in your brand. Book either on its own, though bids that score well usually need both: clear answers that are easy to mark.

Who checks compliance before we submit?

We check the set against the returnables list and the formatting rules; you check the facts, the prices and the signatures. Your director signs the declarations and your accountant confirms the figures. We never submit on your behalf, but we prepare the files in the names, sizes and formats the portal expects.

What affects the cost of tender documents?

The number of scored questions, how much of the evidence already exists in a usable form, and how many documents need design rather than formatting. A pricing schedule in the buyer’s spreadsheet takes less time than six method statements written from scratch. Every item is priced separately, so you can keep any of them in-house.

Bidding in more than one country?

Our offices in Liverpool, Sandton and Pennsylvania see tenders from all three countries, so we know what a UK framework, a South African municipality and a US agency each expect to find. One set of documents, written once, can be adapted for each.

Get a quote for your tender documents

Send the invitation to tender, the returnables list and the closing date, and tell us which documents you already have. We reply with a fixed quote in pounds, rand or dollars, each document priced on its own. Once you agree it, we begin with the tender documents that score the most.
