Social media marketing services

Posts people stop for.

Our social media marketing services give you a plan, the posts to fill it and the ads to reach people who don’t follow you yet.

What it covers

What do social media marketing services include?

The plan, the posts and the ads. We work out which platforms your customers use, what you should say there and how often, then write and design the posts, schedule them and report on what they did. Paid ads sit on top when you want to reach people who don’t follow you yet.

We are a social media marketing agency for small businesses, charities, schools and venues that need the work done rather than talked about. The posts, the graphics and the plan are yours.

Content calendars

What goes into a content calendar?

A social media content calendar is the month laid out before it starts: what goes out, where and when. It is the difference between posting and marketing.

  • Three or four themesWhat you sell, who you are, what you know and what is on, in a rhythm your followers get used to.
  • The month at a glanceEvery post with its date, platform and format, so you see the balance before anything is written.
  • Key dates built inYour launches and offers, plus the public holidays and awareness days that matter in the UK, South Africa and the USA.
  • Approval before schedulingYou see the whole month, change what you like and sign it off once. Then it is scheduled.
  • A monthly reviewWhat people saved, shared, clicked and asked about, from the platforms’ own figures, and what that changes in next month’s calendar.

Captions and hashtags

Who writes the captions and hashtags?

We do, in your voice. The first line does the work, because the platform hides the rest behind “more”. Then the detail, then one thing to do next: book, call, reply or visit. Social media captions are written in British English for the UK and South Africa and American English for the USA, so nothing jars.

Hashtag research is part of it: a mix of broad tags, niche tags people in your trade follow and place tags for Liverpool, Sandton or your own town. We also write the alt text for every image, so the posts are read by screen readers and understood by the platforms.

Short video scripts

What does a short video script look like?

A page, not a screenplay: the hook, the point, the ending and the on-screen text, with a shot list you can film on a phone. Video script writing is quoted by the script.

  • 3 s

    The hook

The first three seconds say what the viewer gets if they stay. We write three versions and pick the sharpest.

  • 30 s

    One point

A reel or a short carries one idea: a tip, a before-and-after, a question answered. The script keeps it to that.

  • Text

    Watched on mute

Most feeds play silently, so the on-screen text and captions tell the story without the sound.

Questions

Questions about social media marketing services

Question not here? Send it to us and we will answer it directly.

Ask a question

How do we start?

Email hello@redfoxbranding.com or fill in the project form and tell us which platforms you use, what you sell and who you want to reach. We send a fixed quote in GBP, USD or ZAR for the plan, the posts and any ads. Once you approve it, the first month’s calendar is the first thing you see.

Which platforms should a small business be on?

The ones your customers open every day, and fewer of them than you think. Local trades and shops do well on Facebook and Instagram, firms selling to other businesses on LinkedIn, and anything visual or aimed at younger buyers on TikTok and YouTube. Two platforms done properly beat five done thinly. Our digital marketing strategy page explains how we choose.

Do you post for us, or do we post?

Either. We can schedule and publish through the platforms’ own tools and reply to comments in your voice, or hand you the month’s posts ready to publish yourself. You keep ownership of every account and never give us a password; access is granted and removed through the platforms’ team settings.

What size should the images be?

Square 1080 × 1080 px works almost everywhere, portrait 1080 × 1350 px takes more of the screen on Facebook and Instagram, and stories and reels are 1080 × 1920 px. The platforms change these sizes, so we check each one at the start of every job. The current table is on our social media graphics page.

Do we need paid ads as well?

Not at first. Organic posts build the page and show new visitors what you are like; ads put a post in front of people who have never heard of you. When an offer or a launch needs reach, a small paid social campaign is the quickest way to get it. Ads and sponsored posts must be labelled as such; the Advertising Standards Authority sets the UK rules.

Need the website to match?

Social media sends people to your website, and the website has to catch them. We design both as one system, so the post, the landing page and the enquiry form look like the same business. See website design and landing pages for how the pages are built to turn visitors into enquiries.
