On a bad day nobody reads a home page. They look for a number, a reason to trust you and the next step. We design the site around those three things, and you see it on a private link before it goes live.
Ralmed
One number, whatever the emergency.
We designed and wrote a healthcare website that lets anyone reach Ralmed in seconds, from an insurer abroad to a mine manager at midnight.

The client and the brief
What did Ralmed need?
Ralmed funds hospital care, runs clinics on mines and industrial sites, trains first aiders and sends ambulances, all from a base in Sandton. Its website had to put the right help in front of each visitor within seconds.
Ralmed’s visitors range from medical insurers overseas to safety officers on remote sites, event organisers and anyone who needs a doctor tonight. Each of them arrives with one question and very little patience.
The brief was a site that answers that question first, then gets out of the way: one number, plain words and a page for every service, written for the person reading it.
- One line for every service, every day of the year
- 24/7
- Lines of work, each with its own section and pages
- 6
- Levels of ambulance crew, explained in plain words
- 4
What we made
A healthcare website design built around one phone call
Every page leads to the same 24-hour line, with call and WhatsApp buttons that stay in reach on a phone. The rest of the design gives each reader the next answer they need.

Four levels of crew, from basic life support to a doctor on board, so a caller knows what is coming and why.
While the ambulance is on its way: four plain steps that save minutes at the door.
For anyone who needs a doctor tonight: the hours, the number and the way there, on one screen.
Where Ralmed works, from mines to events, beside the registrations buyers ask about first.
Why it works
What makes it work for patients and buyers?
A medical website is judged in someone’s worst moment. These details are there for that moment.
- One number everywhereThe 24-hour line sits in the header and the footer, and in a bar that stays on screen on phones, with WhatsApp beside it.
- Shortcuts by needSee a doctor, book training, cover a mine or plan care for a patient from abroad: each one starts from the home page.
- Plain words under pressureEvery page answers the question its reader came with before it says anything about the company.
- Proof where buyers lookRegistrations and accreditations sit beside the services they cover, so procurement teams find them without asking.
- Save our numberA link in the top bar of every page lets people store the 24-hour line before they ever need it.
For healthcare providers
Could your practice or service use the same?
The same approach suits any provider people call when something has gone wrong.

Response
Ambulance and security services
A site that tells callers what happens next, and tells buyers exactly what they are paying for.
