The ticket is the last thing a buyer sees before the night, and the poster is the first. We design the poster, the flyers and the social media graphics alongside the ticket, so the whole campaign looks like one event and you brief us once for all of it.
Event ticket design
The night out starts at the ticket.
Event ticket design sets the tone before the doors open. We design printed tickets, e-tickets and wristbands that look the part and scan first time.
What works
What does a good event ticket need?
A ticket has two readers: the person who bought it and the person on the door. The buyer wants the event name, the date, the time, the venue and their seat or zone, in that order, large enough to read in a dim foyer. The door wants the ticket number, the class and the code, where a scanner finds them without turning the ticket round.
The back carries the terms, the door times, a map and the sponsors. A tear-off stub keeps the number on both halves. Tickets are part of our print design service, and the same artwork becomes the e-ticket.
Formats

Printed tickets suit box offices, sponsors and keepsakes. E-tickets suit online sales. Wristbands suit anything that lasts longer than one entry.

Questions about event ticket design
Question not here? Send it to us and we will answer it directly.
Ask a questionHow do we get event tickets designed?
Email hello@redfoxbranding.com or fill in the project form with the event, the dates, the ticket classes and how tickets are sold. We send a fixed quote in GBP, USD or ZAR, design the ticket, show you proofs and supply the files for your printer and your ticketing platform.
Can you design wristbands as well as tickets?
Yes. Tyvek bands print in one colour or full colour and tear if someone tries to pass one on, which is why festivals use them. Fabric bands with a locking bead suit multi-day events and VIP areas. We design to the band maker’s template, since the print area on a 19 mm band is small.
Do you sell or scan the tickets?
No. You choose the ticketing platform and the printer, and we design the artwork to their sizes and rules. We built the website for Roar Entertainment, a concert promoter, so we know how a show is sold online and what the e-ticket has to carry. Before anything goes to press, we scan the code with a phone and read the proof in low light.
